The journey of Ushnakmal began in the late 1800s in Lahore, Punjab, where Ushnakmal Moolchand established a handloom house rooted in exceptional craftsmanship and the purity of silk.

After the Partition in 1947, the family rebuilt its legacy in Varanasi, carrying forward generations of weaving expertise. Blending their heritage with Banaras' celebrated handloom tradition, they continued creating authentic Banarasi masterpieces.

Today, every Ushnakmal Banaras creation is a tribute to resilience, heritage, and the timeless artistry of master weavers.
